Being a mum of a teenager is hard. Being a teenager or young adult female is also hard. During these life phases, self-care, self-love and creating lifelong healthy habits is crucial to getting though this period without burning out and keeping your relationship intact.

Mums, this is such a pivotal time in your daughter's lives, where they are creating their own identity, trying to navigate the pressure of school, their social circle, decisions about their future, different relationships and peer influences, all while also trying to keep their confidence and self esteem intact....it's a lot.


And I know, as a mum of two teenage daughters myself, it can be so easy to neglect yourself during this time (well, let's be honest... probably since they were born!). Yet, you are your daughter's biggest teacher and influencer. The way you prioritize your own self-care, manage the balance between meeting others' needs and your own, and pursue your passions sets a powerful example for them. It's important to show our daughters that it is not selfish to prioritize our own wellbeing, in fact its crucial! And it starts will you leading the way.

During Thriving Together 1/2 Day Retreat, you will be creating your own tool kit of skills and practices that will help you and your daughter navigate this time together, while being able to keep each other accountable and strengthen your own relationship.

The 1/2 day retreat will cover:

Self-Care and Well-being Practices: Learn practical self-care techniques that help manage stress and promote mental and physical well-being. Discover how incorporating these practices can create a ripple effect, enhancing the quality of your life and those around you.

Mindfulness: Understand why having a simple mindfulness practice is so important for you both. These practices will empower you to respond to life’s challenges with calmness and clarity, and will arm you with practical tools you can use whenever you need.

Understanding and Managing Co-Dependency: Gain insights into co-dependency patterns and learn strategies to build healthier, independent relationships. Develop tools to encourage mutual respect with the people in your life.

Healthy Habits and Goal Setting: Work together on establishing goals and healthy habits that align with both personal desires and shared values. Explore ways to incorporate these habits into daily life, ensuring consistency and lasting change.

Empowered Decision Making: Delve into decision-making processes that are driven by clarity and confidence. Learn techniques to affirm your choices and support each other’s journeys towards achieving individual and collective aspirations.

Who is this retreat suitable for?

This retreat is designed for mums and their teenage or young adult daughters who are looking to strengthen their bond while learning valuable skills in self-care, mindfulness, and personal development. Teens/ young adults 15+ will get the most out of this, however if your younger teen is interested, they are welcome to attend.

I have more than one teen daughter, can they come too?

Of course! When purchasing your ticket you can choose your ticket price for bringing 1, 2 or 3 teens/ young adults with you. This will be such a transformative experience for your family!

What should we bring to the retreat?

Please bring comfortable clothing, any personal items you might need for a morning away from home, and an open mind and heart ready for connection and learning. We’ll provide all necessary materials for activities during the retreat. Feel free to bring snacks if you wish. Light refreshments will be provided.

How will the activities benefit our relationship?

The retreat activities are crafted to enhance communication, understanding, and support between mothers and daughters. You’ll engage in shared experiences that help foster mutual respect and empathy.
